INTERVIEW SESSION FOR JAMES WIZZLE AZ RECORDS

           James  Onuma Okemkpa aka  JAMES WIZZLE , is an upcoming hip-hop artiste. His musical journey began on the streets of Cotonou (Benin Republic) at the age of  7 and since then he has been holding on to his dreams. He is currently in Lagos signed with AZ records label.  The "official lover" crooner  is ready to go higher and make a life for himself.
            Below is excerpts from an Interview with AZ RECORDS label.

      Q : Can we know you please?
      A :  My names are James Onuma Okemkpa aka James Wizzle; like the microphone wizard.(laughs)

      Q : Where are you from?
      A Abia State. Abiriba  precisely.

      Q : What genre of music do you do?
      A :  Hip Hop and Afro Pop

      Q : How long have you been into  music?
      A : Music has always been my dream. I started singing from the age of 7,  I rap and mime too, in school, church etc.

       Q : Who is your music Icon.?
      A :  I have so many music lords I admire but I respect Jay Z amongst all.

      Q : Where do you draw your inspiration from?
      A : Actually,  i  get my Inspiration from everyday happenings. I  also do fictions at some point  but I ensure I pass a message.

     Q :  What are your aspirations 3-5 years from now?
     A :  Wow! (smiles) By the grace of God I hope to be a brand. James Wizzle being a household name. Reaching out to people positively.

     Q :  What other things do you do aside music?
     A :   Presently I do squarely music but I do a bit of business when it comes around. Going broke can be frustrating you know, (makes face).

     Q :  Have you performed before any audience?
     A :  Yea,  several times.

     Q :  So how do you deal with stage fright or getting nervous?
     A :   (laughs) By the grace of God I'm Over it. But one thing is certain the next performance is always better than the last. I seek to improve.

    Q :  In future how do you intend balancing your music career and family?
    A :  Ah! Ha! No now, before I get married my wife will have to understand that this is the business I do. but the mistake i wont make is bringing my business life (music) into my home. No way! when I'm outside I'm a musician; but once I'm home, (laughs)  I'm a husband and a father.

    Q : So  how important is reputation to you?
    A :  Very Important. I'm always  careful about it because I'm not ready to loose everything I stand to live for in a blink of an eye.

    Q :  It's  quite interesting so far,  So  can you tell us about yourself, in brief?
    A : (smiles) Like I said, I'm James Wizzle, born on 21st may 1990 at St Jean hospital Cotonou I was born and raised in Benin republic, in a family of six. (5 boys and one girl). I'm actually the last born of my family. speaking of my parents, they have been supportive all our lives, My siblings are fun. Growing up is a bit interesting for me.

   Q :  How long have you being in Lagos?
   A : since 2011. that was right after school. i had  to improve in my career (music)

   Q : Tell us a bit more, what are your  likes,  dislikes,  favorite colors, food, e.t.c?
   A :  Actually I hate lies so much. If you want to be my friend, you've got to come out  plain. I love vegetable soup with any available swallow. (wheat, semo, fufu, garri).  My favorite color is black and white. It's official you know.(laughs)

   Q;  Any embarrassing moments?
   A :   (paused) yea, I remember performing some time ago and I tried to get a girl from the crowd to the stage, she behaved in a snobbish way.  I was embarrassed but I just covered up and continued with the performance.

   Q :  Lol, She must have been shy?
   A :  No, the look was not shyness it was a bluff one.

   Q :  Any obsession?
   A :  Lol, I've got a huge obsession with Janelle Monea (Foreign artiste) It's silly but I've got a huge one for her.

   Q:  Tell us, are you single?
   A: Yea, I'm so single right now. very very ready to mingle. (laughs)

  Q :  How often do you practice?
  A :  I practice every now and then. I love to improve and for me to go far, I've got to improve.

  Q : Who do you look forward to having a collabo with in the industry?
  A :  That's a big one oh...but I've got to name them (smiles). Tubaba, Psqure, MI, Vector The Viper, Olamide, Phyno.  and for the ladies, Chidinma and Yemi Alade.

  Q :  What's your advice to your fans out there especially the young ones.
  A :  I've got a lot to say  but for now love education, stay focused, stay out of drugs. The only addiction you need now is to get addicted to success. Live your dreams and give your all to achieving it. Put God first, thank you.
